For a little while, you might have noticed, if you actually stopped thinking about YOURSELF and CARED about me for just one tiny moment, that I fell into a bit of a music rut. I haven't gone to any shows in a while, and I was playing the same old songs on my ipod. My ipod was flipping me off in protest...practically refusing to turn on because it was bored with me.
But recently, I've been listening to some new things and I have to say, it's kind of exciting!!!
WOO!!!
You might not even know me...in which case...how did you get here?! We don't want your kind reading this blog *motions with pitch fork*
Things I've been listening to lately:1) Cobra Starship. I have liked them for a while, but I hadn't seen them in concert until last weekend. I have a slight infatuation with Gabe Saporta, the lead singer. Not that I'm one of those teeny boppers who only listens to a band because they're attractive. It's just that if Gabe wasn't attractive or slightly douchey (this could probably be considered 'attractive' because, let's face it, a little d.b. goes a long way) or Jewish...or good looking or hot then I wouldn't like this band. Wait...I don't mean that...eh hem...

The City It At War
The World Has Its Shine (But I would Drop it On a Dime)
2) Young Love. YES! So, I started listening to them because pandora (you sly fox) shuffled them into a station I had created. And I liked the songs pandora (stop it! no YOU stop it! *giggle*) it was offering me. And then, somehow, they were playing last weekend and I saw them and...what a set! Catchy, dancy songs with a bit of an edge. Some might say it's exactly my cup-o-tea...and they'd...um...be right about that?

3) New Found Glory. I have this habit of finding a song I like and listening to it on repeat...for...maybe a week (orinrealitythreeweeksbutshhhdontjudgeme). I try to listen to other songs during these phases but I always cycle back to the original song I'm 'crushing on' (for lack of a better term). That song for my right now is New Found Glory 'Right Where We Left Off'. ch-ch-check it out!
4) All Time Low. I can't decide if I should be embarassed about this or not. It's like when I did Israeli folk dancing with my mom in high school...I knew there was a fine line between being indy and being a big dork. Was israeli folk dancing cool or lame? Was I the next big thing or someone that was about to get shoved into a locker? Well, that's exactly how I feel about All Time Low. Are they too pop-punky and ridiculous, or are they legitimately a good band?
You tell me.

5) Hey Monday. I mostly like bands with all guys (not because I'm sexist or don't like women, ok? save it) , but this band has a cool female singer and I dig. Do you?

Homecoming
Candles
6) No Doubt. Again, Bamboozle bla bla bla. You've heard it all before. But you might not have heard this: I legitimately have a girl crush on Gwen Stefani. Those eyes, that smile, that voice, that spunk! I spend sleepless nights pondering: How does she get her hair to poof like that in the front without falling out of style? And how does she always look so cute all the time after giving birth? I wonder what she likes to do for fun?
I might be lying, but seriously...the crush remains.songs to check out:

*An aside-all of you have heard of 'No Doubt', right? Because I might have had a meeting with someone last week who didn't know who No Doubt was OR Gwen Stefani. He wasn't even foreign or anything...*
7) Ace Enders
I explained about the deep relationship Ace and I have in an earlier entry. HMM...does anyone know anything about tagging entries? I think that helps people find earlier entries that relate to certain subjects but like...uh...I don't know how to do that. Anyway, Ace and I were on the DL for a while but like most great loves all it took was a little awkard conversation to get us back on track. Now we are in love again and I am listening to him.
guess that it's for now kiddiez. TTFN (that means ta ta for now. why do I even bother...? :D)8) The sound of construction on my street. You might not know this but a car driving over metal plates on the street actually sounds like pirates (too soon?) that are on a rampage/about to break in and steal your stuff.
9) The phone ringing.
10) Your voice
