Well, today's going to be a long day. It's only 11:19 and I already want second breakfast/first lunch, and I'm bored, and I'm feeling antsy.
So, what better way to curb my boredom than by writing a riveting blog entry. Yes, I said RIVETING because if ever there was a jaw-dropping, shocking, AMAZING topic for a blog entry this would be it:
Things I like about 'How I Met Your Mother'

1) Neil Patrick Harris. Before any of you say anything, I know he's gay, ok? But that doesn't mean I can't find his character, Barney, hilarious! And that I can't have a crush on him. And that I can't look into his little, beady blue eyes and want to melt.

But yes. Neil Patrick Harris is a-, wait for it, wait for it, mazing!
2) Funny name. I really like funny names of things. Sometimes, when I don't know what music to download, I'll just search for random artists or words and download the songs with the funniest titles. Like 'The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything'-what a great song! Have you heard of it? I found it by searching LimeWire for 'pirates'. Those were the days...
Anyway, I think 'How I Met Your Mother' is a funny name for a TV show and therefore something that I like about it. 'It' being the show, you know.
3) Bob Saget. Bob Saget narrates the show, which is pretty awesome. The best thing about Bob Saget is how he once played Danny Tanner on 'Full House' and was all wholesome and dorky and liked to clean, and now is known for making really gross jokes and being offensive. I mean, if Bob Saget's career isn't an example of well-roundedness then I don't know what well-roundedness is.

4) Funny. So, I think the show's really funny! And, I like that about it. UM.
Here are some funny quotations from the show:
Ted's Date: Back when I lived in LA I was pretty broke, so I spent a month making adult films.
Ted : Wow ... uh, ok. How many did you make?
Ted's Date: 175.
Lily: Say what you want about the porn industry, but they're hard workers.
Ted: Yes Barney, your submissions were received and No, we will not be attending any parties in your pants.
Penelope: Why the hell should I help you?
Barney: Come on, I know it didn't work out between us but we did have a relationship.
Penelope: We had sex in your car twice and then you dumped me. How is that a relationship?
Barney: Twice!
WOW! What gems, huh? Am I right or am I right? Right?

5) New York City. So, I live in New York City now for those of you who don't know that. Actually, if you don't know that by now and are somehow reading this and didn't randomly find it on the internet and actually are my 'friend'...then maybe we're not friends anymore. But anyway, it's fun for me to see shows that are shot in NYC now that I live here. The buildings, the night life, the funny anecdotes that take place on the subway-they speak to me! NYC is great and so is 'How I Met Your Mother'.

6) Jason Segel. So I've developed a bit of a crush on Jason Segel, hehe. I don't feel that bad about it for a few reasons: 1) he's cute! 2) he's funny 3) he was born in the same decade as me (born in 1980 according to wikipedia). He's fun to watch and a great asset to the show. Also his character's name is Marshall, Marshall! I mean, who besides Eminem (Marshall Mathers) and Penny Marshall and Gary Marshall is actually named MARSHALL?

*OMG. I was going to try and find a picture of Jason Segel and edit myself into it but look what I found on google images-Jason Segel AND
Beaker!! I look just like Beaker therefore this is basically the same thing as a picture of Jason Segel and me ensemble...amazing*
7) Did I say funny already?
Anyway, as I started to write this entry Season 1 of 'How I Met Your Mother', which I ordered online last week, arrived at work!!
Is that a sign from above or what?
BEST. SHOW. EVER.
